We’ve been making tutorial and explainer videos for our customers since the very early days of BlueSky Video Marketing.
One of the first major content projects that we won was to create a library of self-service customer service videos for a company that provides fall prevention and monitoring systems to care environments such as nursing homes and hospitals.
Since then, we have been involved in a regular stream of tutorial and explainer video projects – we’ve even created our own to show customers how to upload the content we create for them to different social media channels.
Even this isn’t a ‘one and done’ job as the social channels update their workflows prettyr regularly.
You can watch one of thise videos below which covers how to upload a video, thumbnail and SRT captions file to Linkedin.
We’ve included some examples of the tutorial and explainer video projects that we’ve been involved with below and you’ll see that these cover a range of different sectors.
From organising litter picks to operating crushers and installing water quality monitoring equipment, there’s a wide range of uses for this type of content.
The driver for the increased use of content like this is our customers’ desire to be able to self serve when they come up against any isssues with the product or service that you have provided.
A desire to improve customer service is often at the front of a customer’s mind when we first speak to them about a potential project involving tutorial and explainer videos.
Most customers would prefer to be able to try and solve the problem themselves rather than having to call someone to talk about how to solve the problem.
This is particularly true for customers who have bought products from different countries where a language barrier or time difference makes it difficult to contact the product supplier.
This is where tutorial and explainer videos can also have big advantages for the product manufacturers as well.
By creating a library of self service tutorial or explainer videos, you are essentially making your service team available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
While there are undoubtedly some issues that will not be completely resolved by the library of videos that you create, our experience on the projects that we have worked on is that with some careful considertion at the outset, they can effectively deal with more than 80% of all the queries that users of your product may have.
We’ve included one example from each of the featured projects below and there is also a link for you to view more of the videos fom that project.
The course aims to help people preparing for video projects to ensure that they put their best foot forward when the time comes for recording to begin.
As well as the 12 course modules, we also created a number of trailer videos for use as part of social media campaigns to increase awareness of the course.
When McCloskey International launched the I4C impact crusher, we worked with them to create a library of videos for use by dealers and customers.
These videos were designed to support dealers in their discussions with customers about maintaining the machine while also being a useful resource for users of the machine to allow them to ensure machine performance was maintained at the required level.
We produced this series of explainer videos for Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful as part of their ‘Live Here, Love Here’ campaign.
There are ten videos in the series and it takes you through all the steps you need to take when organising a litter pick.
We created a library of machine maintenance tutorials for the Barford Equipment 750J Jaw Crusher.
The series was designed to help dealers and owners of the machine to ensure its performance was maintained at the required level by outlining the various maintenance checks that need to be completed on the machine.
This series of tutorial videos was created for the owners and employees at the nursing homes supplied by S&E Care Trade and includes guidance on the correct maintenance regimes for kitchen appliances to ensure they continue to perform as required.
This was a series of explainer and tutorial videos produced for Meteor Communications to enable their customers to perform equipment updates to the water quality monitoring systems supplied to waste water treatment companies.
The aim of the series was to reduce the requirement for the Meteor Communications team to visit customer sites to perform tasks that could easily be performed by their customers.
Ramblegard is a fall prevention and monitoring system that is used in care environments such as nursing homes and hospitals.
To allow customers to self-serve when using the Ramblegard system, we worked with S&E Care Trade to create this library of tutorial videos for use by their customers.
The videos significantly reduced the requirement for a member of the S&E Care Trade team to visit the care environments where the system was being used to help troubleshoot any issues.
We’d love to talk through any projects you’re considering so we can outline our approach to making sure you get the results you need from the videos you create.
