As seen at Culture Night, Belfast

Culture Night Belfast was slightly different this year and one of our projects was featured as part of their online showcase

Intermezzo was a giant music project that involved a collaboration between international law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills and The Belfast Ensemble.

The project was supported by Arts & Business Northern Ireland.

This was without doubt one of our favourite projects because of the unique look it took at how to develop leadership and collaboration skills within an organisation.

There were 2 parts to the project:

The Masterclass Series involved members of the senior management team at Herbert Smith Freehills undertaking a number of lessons from Conor Mitchell of The Belfast Ensemble in how to conduct a chamber orchestra.

The ‘Grade 1 or Bust’ series involved Herbert Smith Freehills employees being given the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument over the course of 12 months.

Our video documents the journey over the course of 12 months and features interviews with the people involved in the project including Herbert Smith Freehills employees, members of The Belfast Ensemble and Maeve McKervey of Arts & Business Northern Ireland.
